City Recital Hall

City Recital Hall is a purpose-built live performance venue in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, known for its world-class acoustics and mid-sized setting. The Hall opened on 30 October 1999 after a private-public partnership between the City of Sydney and AMP created a dedicated music venue within a new corporate tower. It was Sydney’s first purpose-built music venue since the Sydney Opera House opened in 1973. Today, City Recital Hall Limited operates the venue as a not-for-profit organisation on the City of Sydney’s behalf. The Hall also acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of the land on which it stands.

For a complete night out, the venue has licensed bars offering a selection of snacks, and beverages bought there can generally be taken into the Hall unless staff advise otherwise.
