Squidinki

Squidinki is a gallery and store at 85 George Street in The Rocks, Sydney, showcasing the humorous, hand-drawn illustrations of artist Max Mendez. His work draws on the amusement he finds in everyday life and is presented as limited-edition artwork as well as on everyday products.

The gallery’s print collection includes illustrated scenes from Sydney, including The Rocks Markets, George Street and Sydney Harbour, alongside pieces inspired by places and ideas further afield. Prints are produced as Giclée editions on 340gsm cotton fine-art paper, embossed with the Squidinki mark and signed in pencil by Max. Most are sold unframed, with framed versions available from the store; some works can also be supplied on canvas.
