Why it's worth checking out
The Parramatta River Escarpment Boardwalk sits on Queens Avenue in Parramatta, the major hub in Sydney's greater west, by the river. With 17 reviews behind its 4.4 rating, it's a well-liked spot.
The appeal is a lovely waterside walk — a boardwalk along the Parramatta River escarpment with lovely water and bushland surrounds, a genuine favourite for a stroll, some fresh air or connecting with nature close to the city centre. It's a lovely, free outing.
Boardwalks and riverside paths have changing conditions and seasonal considerations, so check current details before you go. Otherwise it's a free spot to enjoy whenever the weather's good — bring water, sun protection and comfortable shoes.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.4 from 17 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
