Why it's worth checking out
Parramatta Leagues Club is a large entertainment and dining venue at 1 Eels Place, Parramatta, with options that suit a quick visit, a family outing, group bookings or a longer evening. The club is open from 9am to 4am, and has an 800-space multi-storey car park. Parking is free for members after 9.15am, except on event days, making it a practical option for locals and visitors exploring Greater Parramatta.
Dining is spread across several distinct venues. The Bistro serves familiar favourites alongside newer additions, while Jacks Cucina offers an Italian-inspired setting with crafted cocktails, happy hour and lunch specials. It also has panoramic views towards Parramatta Park and CommBank Stadium. Tingha Palace focuses on Chinese cuisine, and K’s Noodle Bar takes its cue from the street food culture of Asia. For a more relaxed solo or group stop, the Members Lounge provides another place to eat and spend time within the club.
There is plenty beyond the dining rooms. Sterlo’s Sports Bar is named after Parramatta half-back Peter Sterling, and the club also promotes live sports and bars as part of its regular offer. On Level 3, Kicks Tenpin & Arcade has seven bowling lanes, Western Sydney’s only XD Dark Ride and a full arcade with prize games. That combination makes it particularly suited to birthday parties, corporate functions, group bookings and weekend outings with family or friends. The range of spaces also means visitors can shape the visit around a meal, a game or a few drinks rather than treating the club as a single-purpose venue.
The club has strong ties to the Parramatta Eels and the local community. Its origins date back to the formation of a licensed club to help fund the football club, with the present clubhouse opening on 22 August 1959. The story centres on Jack Argent and Jack Boyle, whose efforts led to the purchase of the property and the construction of what became known as “the house that Jack built”. Since then, the site has expanded with additional floors and facilities. Today, Parramatta Leagues combines that sporting history with food, entertainment, functions and community-focused club services.
