Why it's worth checking out
Marks Park sits on the clifftops above Tamarama, between Bondi and Bronte in Sydney's eastern suburbs. A scenic headland park right on the famous Bondi to Bronte coastal walk, it offers stunning ocean views and a breezy, open setting — a lovely spot to pause, picnic or take in the dramatic coastline as you make your way along the path.
The appeal is that combination of a spectacular clifftop location and relaxed open space, with sweeping views over the sea and the coastal walk passing right through. It's also famously a key site for the annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, when the headland fills with artworks against the backdrop of the ocean.
With a 4.6 rating from more than 1,200 reviews, it's a much-loved spot. The park is free and open, but it's exposed to the weather on the clifftops, and gets very busy on sunny weekends and during Sculpture by the Sea, so it's worth checking conditions before you go — and taking sun protection and care near the cliff edges while enjoying the spectacular coastal views.
