Bar Las Chicas

Bar Las Chicas brings a cocktail bar and kitchen to Surf Lane in Cronulla, with a menu designed around sharing and lingering. The food takes a Latin-inspired approach, with dishes made to arrive in the middle of the table rather than as individual courses. The kitchen’s offering is described as short and seasonal, giving the menu a focused feel for relaxed dinners, drinks and group gatherings.

The food includes ceviche, tacos, empanadas, birria and the Chorrillana, while the bar leans into South American flavours. Margaritas, pisco sours and signature cocktails are built around fresh citrus, tropical fruit, smoke, texture and house infusions. There is also a considered wine list, cold tap beers and low- and no-alcohol options. Classics can be requested, depending on available ingredients and the bar team.

Inside, the venue is presented as a warm, social room with a burgundy, candlelit mood and music that builds later in the night. Outside, palms and fairy lights suit Cronulla’s golden-hour atmosphere. It is set up for long dinners, slow drinks and a livelier late-night stretch, with a few bar seats held for walk-ins as well as reservations for weekends and groups.

The weekly programme includes Thursday winter happy hour, Friday happy hour and a weekend bottomless brunch, with the offers and programming refreshed seasonally. Groups can also book the Shaken Not Stirred cocktail class, a hands-on session for groups of four or more.
