Why it's worth checking out
Audrey Fine Art is a private Sydney gallery in Quay Quarter Tower, on Bridge Street in the CBD, representing Australian, Aboriginal and international artists. Its collection spans painting, sculpture, photography and works on paper, with more than 400 works available to view, buy or rent. The gallery works with both emerging painters and established artists whose work is held in major collections, giving visitors a broad range of practices, scales and price points to explore.
The experience is built around considered guidance rather than simply browsing a catalogue. Audrey Louise Reilly and Joshua Reilly-Quoy are the gallery’s co-founders, supported by Gallery Manager Georgia Tutt and Content Producer Kate Johnstone. The team offers one-on-one consultations focused on a client’s space, taste and budget, either in the gallery or at home. The first session is complimentary and there is no obligation, making it suitable for first-time buyers as well as established collectors. The gallery can also source work beyond its own walls when the right piece is not already in the collection.
For a more structured visit, Audrey Fine Art hosts six to eight exhibitions each year, with openings, catalogues and solo presentations by represented artists. The current programme includes Simone Piccioni’s “Love and Games”, a body of oil paintings in the classical figurative tradition, with private viewings available. The gallery also provides art styling for homes, offices and hotels, covering selection, placement and installation, while its rental programme allows clients to rotate gallery-quality works in a home or office from $500 per month, with the option to purchase at any time.
The gallery can be visited Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, with weekend visits by appointment. Its hire space is a 76-square-metre open-plan gallery with white walls, professional track lighting, wide street-facing windows, a bar and fridge, private bathroom, plinths, tables, limited seating, and a microphone and speaker with Bluetooth connection. It is wheelchair accessible and accommodates up to 45 people standing. The space is available for corporate events, launches, media nights, workshops, private functions and artist exhibitions, with the existing collection available as a backdrop or room for a client’s own display. Audrey Fine Art suits visitors looking for an informed art consultation, a focused exhibition visit, a work for a collection or space, or a distinctive CBD venue for a small event.
