Town Hall Hotel Newtown, known locally as The Townie, is a Newtown pub with a broad food, drink and live-music offering. Its menu covers familiar pub choices alongside woodfire pizzas, burgers, nachos, wings, salads and bar snacks, making it suitable for an easy meal before a gig or a casual catch-up in Sydney’s inner west. Listed acts include electronic and dance performer Space Cop 2, singer-songwriter Sam Joole, and Suburban Bukowskis, whose upbeat folk-rock and neo-beatnik songs draw on stories of life in the inner west. Suburban Bukowskis is led by playwright and poet Benito Di Fonzo, with Mike Sheehan, Justine Wahlin and Pete Fenwick in the accompanying band.
