The Depot

The Depot is a family-run cafe on Warners Avenue in Bondi Beach, serving the local community since 2008. It occupies a corner with local history, having taken over a venue remembered by many locals as Jackie’s cafe when The Depot moved there in 2021. The Depot is open seven days for daytime dining, from 6.30am to 3pm, making it suited to an early coffee, breakfast, lunch or a bakery visit. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, it also offers dinner from 5.30pm to 9pm, with the site promoting a Steak Night as part of its evening programme. The in-house bakery and seasonal approach make it worth considering for a casual daytime visit, while the evening service provides another option for locals who want to visit beyond breakfast and lunch.

The venue’s catering service extends its food and coffee offering to beachside brunches, office meetings, private parties and other events. Catering can include platters, canapés, individual items and custom menus, while a staffed coffee cart with an espresso machine and tea selection is also available. For the cafe itself, the relaxed setting and wide service hours make The Depot a practical choice for solo coffee stops, casual meals and informal catch-ups. A second Depot location operates inside VRTUS on Bondi Road, but the original cafe is at 132A Warners Avenue.
