Why it's worth checking out
Opal Minded sits on George Street in The Rocks, Sydney's historic harbourside precinct beside the Harbour Bridge. A specialist opal jeweller, it showcases Australia's national gemstone — offering a curated range of quality opals and opal jewellery, from striking statement pieces to beautiful gifts, in one of the city's most visited heritage areas.
The appeal is that combination of genuine expertise in Australian opals, a beautiful selection and a prime location in The Rocks, making it a wonderful spot to find a special piece, a meaningful gift or a uniquely Australian keepsake. The near-perfect feedback speaks to the quality of both the opals and the service, and its setting makes it an easy stop while exploring the harbour.
A 4.9 rating from more than 270 reviews is an excellent result and a strong endorsement. Stock, collections, opening hours and any services vary, so it's worth checking current details if you're after something specific — though for a browse of beautiful Australian opals, it's often just a matter of dropping in as part of a visit to The Rocks, and seeing why it's so well rated.
Spot Score
The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.9 from 272 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
