Why it's worth checking out
Metro Aspire Hotel Sydney is a practical base for exploring the inner city, with the CBD, Darling Harbour, Ultimo and Pyrmont close by. The hotel is located on Bulwara Road in Ultimo, around a 10-minute walk from Darling Harbour and within easy reach of Chinatown, Paddy’s Markets, the Powerhouse Museum and the International Convention Centre Sydney. Central Station is about 1 kilometre away, while the Powerhouse Museum, Central Park Mall and the Chinese Garden of Friendship are also nearby.
The accommodation is centred on spacious, completely refurbished rooms. Premium rooms sleep up to three guests and include a king bed, sofa bed, work desk, dining table and chairs, free Wi-Fi, a smart TV and a private balcony. Premium Deluxe rooms accommodate up to five guests with two king beds or four singles, plus a sofa bed. Executive rooms offer similar capacity to the Premium rooms, with added touches including a coffee pod machine, bathrobes and slippers. Most rooms have large private balconies, giving the hotel a quieter, leafy feel despite its central Sydney setting.
Gumtree Restaurant & Bar provides an indoor-outdoor setting with natural light, a waterfall feature and a garden-style atmosphere. Breakfast is served daily, with continental and hot buffet options, and the hotel also notes a kids menu. Other on-site facilities include a bar, secure underground parking, a lobby computer kiosk, fast Wi-Fi in rooms and public areas, a 24-hour reception and family rooms. The hotel is smoke-free and can assist with tours and tickets.
Metro Aspire suits a broad range of stays. Families can make use of the larger room configurations, cots on request and family-friendly dining options, while couples may appreciate the private balconies and central location. It is also set up for business travellers and event attendees, with two refurbished function rooms for conferences, seminars and other functions of up to 130 people. The rooms have natural light, individual air conditioning and access to Mary Ann Park for outdoor breaks. With nearby transport, attractions, dining precincts and on-site parking, it works well for visitors who want access to Sydney’s city sights without staying directly in the busiest part of Darling Harbour.
