Why it's worth checking out

Hammond Playground sits on Beauchamp Avenue in Chatswood, a major hub on Sydney's Lower North Shore. A 4.6 rating from 96 reviews reflects its standing as a much-loved family spot.

The appeal is a fun, welcoming space for kids — a playground with room to run, climb and play, plus green space for a picnic, the kind of easygoing outing families return to. Its Chatswood location, close to the shops and transport, makes it an easy and convenient stop.

Playgrounds and parks have changing facilities and seasonal conditions, so check current details if you're planning around something specific. Otherwise it's a free, family-friendly spot to enjoy whenever the weather's good — bring sun protection, water and hats for the kids.

Spot Score

The Spot Score is our composite of five signals — two about the venue's standing with visitors and three about how complete and current this listing is. It is not a visitor rating and not a verdict on the food or the experience. The 4.6 from 96 reviews is Google's visitor rating, shown separately and never altered by us.
